Centennial Area Health Education Center

Dear Charity Services Centers, P.A.,

How does the Impact Deposit Program help? Let me count the ways. This year, we are using half of the funds received to support the Nurse Educators Conference in the Rockies as a program sponsor. The Nurse Educators Conference is one of only a few educational venues dedicated to helping nurses learn state of the art educational practices. Many of our nurses are educators who are teaching the next generation of nurse leaders to serve in rural and underserved areas. Funds are generally used to help keep the cost of attendance at the event affordable especially for the many Ph.D. Nursing students who attend.

How we say thank you is to have CSC logo printed on our educational program and to appear on the website. To learn more about this event please go to www.necmtherock1es.com, and there you will see the Charity Services Center logo.

We use the other half of the funds received to help support the Northeastern Colorado Nightingale Events. This is a series of events held in our 11-county area to honor the humanitarian and leadership excellence from local nurse leaders and providers in our area.

We have been a grateful participant and recipient of the CSC Charity Services project since its inception in 2015. During this time, we have used these funds to add a touch of icing to our events to show appreciation for the healthcare providers who serve our rural and underserved areas. While the funds by themselves might not seemly make a difference when combined with the generosity of others go a long way to support educational and professional development of healthcare workers, many of whom are often underappreciated and overworked.

Last year, we combined the CSC contribution to help support a series of Lupus Educational Outreach in our area. Coloradoans are disproportionately impacted by Lupus and without programs such as this, entire county populations including patients and providers would be without Lupus educational awareness.

Each year, we look for gaps in our programs and use the CSC funds to fill these and create value in the programs we serve. I am happy to visit about any of these projects or programs.

Thank you for your continued belief in health education.

Kind regards,

Monica Mika
